Troopers responded to a domestic incident on Grandview Road in Lewisboro on Friday, Jan. 18. An investigation revealed Neil C. Smith of Lewisboro arrived unwelcomed at the victim’s residence and is alleged to have menaced the two, used his vehicle to strike one victim, causing non-life-threatening injuries, damaged property belonging to a victim, according to state police. Smith fled the scene prior to the troopers' arrival, police said.
Smith was arrested on Saturday, Jan. 19 and charged with second-degree assault (a Class D felony), third-degree criminal mischief (a Class E felony), two counts of second-degree menacing, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree reckless endangerment, all Class A misdemeanors, as well as reckless driving, an unclassified misdemeanor.
Smith was arraigned in the Town of Lewisboro Court, and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or bond. He is scheduled to appear in the court on Monday, Jan. 28.
